Oak Hall Residence Hall

Located in the North Campus of the University of Washington, Seattle. Oak Hall is a new residence hall which includes 4,000 square foot of multipurpose spaces for studying and mingling, and a market cafe. Additionally study lounges, meeting rooms, with a great room for 300 people in a banquet setting. The project contains two buildings connected with a corridor bridge at the upper levels This was a LEED Gold targeted project.

Construction Administration
Made weekly site visits to observe progress of construction of a design/build project. Attended frequent meetings with the University of Washington construction team, developer, general contractor and consultants during the course of construction. Drafted a series of field reports outlining construction progress and issues observed during site walks. Worked with the General Contractor to clarify and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs). Revised the permitted drawings and provided additional drawings and information to instruct contractor on solutions to construction and design issues. Reviewed and approved submittals before being implemented into the construction by the contractor.
